I have added this policies page in the hopes it will help to clear up any questions that may or may not have been covered elsewhere in this web site. If you still have questions that I did not cover here please feel free to send me an email.
I do pick order for a clutch of babies in the order the deposits are recieved. First deposit equals first pick and so on.
Once you are notified your baby is weaned you have two (2) weeks to pick up & pay the balance owed for your baby or he/she will be placed back up for re-sale and you forfeit your deposit. If you decide you still would like to purchase your baby after the two week grace period, you will be subject to an additional $5.00 per day boarding fee.
Yes, There is an exception....well two exceptions. One: I only allow visits from persons leaving a deposit on a specific baby. I do not allow visitors who are "window shopping"...I will send you pictures by email. Second: I only allow visits with available babies, chicks currently under deposit will not be seen or handled. This is done to protect the buyers investment in the event of an accidental injury to the baby. If you have already placed your deposit on a baby and would like to visit, You are allowed two (2) visits while the baby is being handfed. All visits are done by appointment only.
NO! I do not sell babies unweaned...no exceptions! I have heard and read far too many stories of babies injured or killed from an inexperienced handfeeder. Weaning is a very stressful time for your baby and he/she needs to be is the care of some one experienced to care for him or her in the event there is an emergency. It is a myth that you need to handfeed your baby parrot to create a "bond" with him/her. The imprinting stage lasts several weeks/months depending on the species after weaning, so you will have plenty of time to bond with your new baby.
No, I run a closed aviary. This is done to prevent disease and another other possible contaminates in the aviary. Also, any pairs that may be on eggs/babies could potentially become threatened by the presence of a stranger and kill or injure babies/eggs. Breeding birds are not a good representation of what your handfed & tame baby will be, most are down right nasty!
NO, My prices are fixed and firm....please do not try and haggle with me. I will not waste your time so please do not waste mine. Every now and then I will have a baby that does not meet my standards of pet quality and I will put a special price on only that baby. I will always tell you exactly why the baby in my opinion does not meet my standards so you can make your decision appropriatley.
DNA is included with any baby over $350. If you would like to know the sex of your baby and the DNA sexing is not included, the test is available to you for an additional $25 on the baby of your choice.
That depends on the species of parrot. Most of the smaller Conures & Caiques are weaned onto Zupreem pellets. The larger species African Greys, Amazons ect are weaned onto Harrison's. All the babies are given fresh fruits and veggies daily along with birdie bread.
I provide you with a 72hour written health guarantee. I request that you take your baby to an Avian certified Vet to confirm his/her health within this time period. I also require that you quarantine your new baby if you currently have other birds in your home.
I require a 25% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit to hold a baby until weaned. I only take deposits on babies that are hand-feeding. I do not take deposits on eggs or on chicks still in the nest box.
I do offer boarding on ONLY birds I have raised. Boarding is $5.00 per day to include the drop off day and pick up day. Boarding is all inclusive, caging, food, treats, fresh foods and plenty of out of cage playtime.
